Who processes your data for us

We use a few trusted services to run Rookie Adults. They process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms:

  • Kit (kit.com): our newsletter platform. It stores subscriber email addresses, sends our emails, and reports opens and clicks. Kit may transfer data to the United States and elsewhere.
  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com): hosts our website and protects it from attacks. Its Web Analytics gives us visit statistics; Cloudflare says this service does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. Like any web host, Cloudflare’s network processes your IP address to deliver pages.
  • Spacemail by Spaceship (spaceship.com): our email inbox for hello@ and newsletter@rookieadults.com.

If you contact us through Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads or another platform, that platform’s own privacy policy also applies.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

  • Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of every email. This withdraws your consent to receive the newsletter.
  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update: ask us to fix data that’s wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase: ask us to delete your data. We’ll delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Nominate: name someone who can exercise these rights for you if you’re unable to.
  • Complain: raise a grievance with us (below). If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, 2023.

To do any of these, email hello@rookieadults.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We’ll reply within 30 days.

Ages 18 and up

Rookie Adults is made for people aged 18 and over, and our newsletter is only for adults. If you’re under 18, please don’t subscribe. If we learn that we’ve collected data from someone under 18, we’ll delete it.

Security

We use reputable providers, HTTPS on every page, and access to subscriber data is limited to the people who run Rookie Adults. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll also tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
